2025 Recap

The Norfolk Tennis Championships 2025 proved to be another outstanding success, hosted at East Anglia Tennis and Squash Club and enjoyed in largely fine weather—despite a very wet Friday.

A record 161 players entered the tournament, the highest in six years, creating a vibrant atmosphere across six days of competition. An impressive 259 matches were completed, all expertly overseen by lead referee Derek and his committed team.

Beyond the on-court action, the Championships continued to inspire the next generation. Ten young adults took part in a coaching experience day with Rob Lowe, gaining valuable insight into a career in tennis coaching. Meanwhile, 35 local children enjoyed fun taster sessions with Tom, many picking up a racket for the first time.

Friday’s senior exhibition match was cut short due to the rain, but thanks go to county coach Chris Stocker for stepping in as MC and supporting the event throughout the week.

The tournament concluded with a sun-filled Finals Day, where players delivered thrilling matches and new champions were crowned.

Once again, the Norfolk Tennis Championships brought together players of all ages and abilities from across the county—showcasing not only great tennis, but also the passion and community spirit that make the event so special.
